We Need a Revolution of Ethics

Except for a few brave men and women, most journalists today are merely spokespersons for a promoted truth that lauds the will of the profiteers behind it. They simply copy-paste and obediently endorse the convenient fabrications of their overlords. It genuinely grieves me that so many of my corresponding journalists can be so easily bought and wrought that they become little more than submissive minions for corporate and political advantage. Because of this widespread capitulation to the immoral and ambitious, the unsuspecting are reliably handed a false or dumbed down mishmash of facts that encumber society's ability to be conversant and intelligently critical in a time when it most needs truth. What's woefully missing is real journalistic impartiality and ethical integrity. Mainstream news media, manned by an army of celebrity actors playing reporters, punch out their lines precisely as they are told without any responsibility to think, serve the public objectively, or even concern themselves with actual facts. The new news is now a marketplace where the racketeers' ideas and promotions are peddled to a gullible public. Before given fame and fortune, this new class of reporters is watchfully qualified and screened, not for their talents to report, but for their tractability to serve the prescribed schemas in a well-dressed manner. Too much journalism today has descended into a hype game that employs the purposeful passing on of prearranged biases, the most published ones being those that serve the highest paying clients.

There is also another class of pseudo-Journalist that's been aggressively setting up camp in the world of digital social networks. The sort that doesn't care for genuine facts, ethics, or profit marketing. These self-proclaimed journalists are possibly the sickest cells in the ailing body of parasitic societal manipulation. They're the bloggers and vloggers that promote solely for themselves, under the deceptive guise of serving a greater cause. They serve no other master than their own ego, camouflaged inside a new savior identity-culture, in which they promote themselves as both victim and champion. Their primary tool is fear. Their devices are masked in sleight of hand emotional manipulations. Their agenda is to divide, destroy, and to then step in to save their believers. They are the new aspiring cult building, anti-cultists that work diligently, aggressively, and deceptively to convince the world all is wrong with everything unless their own ideologies come to reign over the failed works of others. What can be done to answer this issue? The first and foremost method must be a new education in which market profiteers and ambitious ideologues are replaced with an in-depth examination of our world's historical successes and failures, while invigorating a promotion of shared open ideas inside a broad spectrum of uncensored knowledge. Most beings' fundamental nature is a goodness that instinctively seeks a path to peace and real knowledge. It seeks to establish harmony with other beings and the natural world. It seeks prosperity for all, alongside freedom and intellectual health. But, due to the innate gullibility of the innocent, this search is, for a while, vulnerable to the devices of those emotion manipulators. Vulnerable to those who deceptively harness the hopeful side of human goodness through falsely turning people against a made-up evil. The answer to this problem can no longer arrive through the masses' education proposed in the greater field of corrupted social media networks. It can only come through a self -determined renewal of individual and group self-cognizance. We need to withdraw from mainstream news, through accepting it no longer represents real news for our benefit. It promotes a market that’s driven to harness the minds of its audience. Given that, we need a revolution of wide-reaching and moral ideas that demand a saner regulation of truth and ethics. Nothing short of that will break society or the individual free of the mass hypnosis that's been forced on our cultures through manipulative fear-mongering, psychologically applied to control the mind of the well-meaning soul.
